On March 7, the district hosted its first math tournament at Sewanhaka High School. Approximately 150 Mathletes students, from grades 7-12 from all five schools, participated. They competed individually and in teams, solving challenging math problems in an atmosphere infused with fun and excitement. It is the first time that junior high Mathletes have been able to compete in person with other teams, and the first time since Covid that senior high Mathletes teams got together as well.
Lauren Cherson and Bill Fanning of the Sewanhaka HS math department did a great job organizing and hosting. It was a great afternoon of district unity!
