H. Frank Carey High School student Ava Maia received a Gold Key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Contest. This nationwide contest invites teens in grades 7-12 to apply in 28 categories of art and writing.
All entries are first considered regionally for Gold Key, Silver Key, Honorable Mention, American Voices Nominee and American Visions Nominee awards. Gold Key awards are given to 5-7% of all regional submissions. Ava’s work will now advance to the national competition.
