Elmont Memorial High School’s counseling department recently celebrated their first-generation college-bound seniors with special workshops and activities designed to support them on their path to college. First Gen students gathered in the conference room to participate in college application completion events, essay writing seminars and learn about scholarship opportunities. These sessions were led by school counseling interns John Harewood and Chrystal Stewart, under the direction of Ms. Coleen Lucey and Dr. Caron Cox.
