Theme: Friendship

Jossycah Emmanuel attended our first district trip to Canada. She encouraged the group to participate and have fun, and was consistently positive and welcoming. A student from another school fell ill, and she took it upon herself to invite the sick student’s friend into her group. When we went to the Sugar Shack, she joined our tour guide to participate in a traditional song and dance and invited a group from Syracuse. She was always reliable for checking in with students and the chaperones. Her positive attitude and resiliency was admirable and added to the successful experience shared by all on our trip.

Grace Gavlo is a wonderful and hard-working student. In class, she contributes very well and is always gracious, polite and available to her friends.

Tristan Robert is an amazing young man. His intelligence and dedication in his French class are beyond normal. Always prepared and decided, Tristan is a positive influence on others.

Byron Andrews has a positive attitude and always tries to do his best.

Jose Sarmiento has a great personality and is constantly willing to take risk in the learning process. Jose, Byron and Tristan are friends and have developed a strong bond in the classroom as working partners.

Saskya Emmanuel is incomparable in the classroom! When a question is asked, she immediately answers using a beautiful extended vocabulary in the target language. It is a great pleasure to have her in our French class.

Ednine Saint-Aime joined class during the school year and her presence in class is simply a joy. Ednine is a deep thinker, and her lovely, colorful imagination is perceived through her writing.

Nicholas Dorsey is a remarkable and personable young man. Nicholas always has a smile on his face, and he embodies respect and friendliness. Every day, he comes in and greets his teacher with a smile. Nicholas is a very enthusiastic student who always completes his work and is always participating. Nicholas treats all his classmates as his friends and is always willing to help them.

Morgan Leary is an exceptional young lady. She consistently wears a smile, epitomizing respect and friendliness. Each day, she enters the classroom cheerfully. Morgan is highly enthusiastic, diligently completing her classwork and actively engaging in all activities. She regards all his peers as friends and is always willing to help them.

Victoria Nelson is a sweet and loving person. She is admired and respected by her peers and she treats everyone with care and kindness. She is always willing to help someone out or say a kind word. She is reliable and responsible, even with her very active life she does everything that is expected of her with no excuses and treats people in such a nice way. She is an amazing role model to her peers.

Peace Ademokun is a friend to all, and helps her classmates with work and to succeed each day! She is very involved with school and activities and can be seen all over the building. She is really making her mark as an extraordinary seventh grader, and Elmont is lucky to have her. She always participates and does well. She exemplifies what a student should be and is a wonderful role model to her peers.

Alesha Jhangeer is a kind and respectful student to her teacher and her peers. She leads by example and helps those around her with any task they may need help with. She makes sure everyone feels included and thrives in and out of the classroom.

Hansel Montero Suriel is an amazing student and model citizen who always puts 100% in everything he does. He is friendly to his peers, teachers and all staff.

Wendy Ruiz always models kindness and positivity to all her peers. She is a great friend to those around her. She helps others with their work and is a person you can count on. She is a pleasure to have in class and always comes in saying hello with a smile.

Odelia Nugent and N’teko Eccles always exhibit friendliness towards their classmates and their teacher. They never hesitate to help their classmates and they are always happy!

Shiloh Campbell is thoughtful and attentive in French class. Shiloh is eager to complete all the classroom activities and is a very responsible and reliable student. She is interested in learning more and asks pertinent questions. Shiloh never gives up even when the topics covered in class are challenging. Shiloh is a role model for her peers because she is serious about her studies and always tries her best to understand difficult topics.

Zuhra Niazmand embodies the concept of friendship in and out of the classroom. She is constantly looking for ways to support her classmates academically and emotionally. She has shared school supplies with her peers, provided notes to students who were absent, and is a positive force within the building.
