Despite the rainy conditions, the Elmont community still excitedly joined together to celebrate this year’s homecoming on Sept. 28.
The day’s events kicked off with a festive parade down Dutch Broadway, featuring the marching band, school clubs, cheerleaders, homecoming court and more.
Following the parade, Elmont Memorial hosted Lynbrook High School for the football game. To the excited cheers of the crowd, the Spartans secured a win with a final score of 18-7. The varsity cheerleaders cheered on the team from the sidelines.
Due to the weather, halftime was held indoors and the marching band performed.
