Elmont's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently attended the Fall District meeting at Hofstra University. Students Chase Ridley, Ruthann Collins, Amber Garcia, Varda Qudatullah, Alex Lalbachan and Dylan Angus enjoyed workshops that were taught by Hofstra professors on topics including cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, public speaking, professional development and resume.
Janet A. Lenaghan, Dean of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business, and Keynote Speaker Edward Watson spoke to the attending FBLA students. Both encouraged the students to find their passion, to not be afraid to take risks and fail, and to learn all they can about the career paths they are choosing.
