Congratulations to Elmont Memorial High School’s Model United Nations program! At the recent international Yale University Model United Nations Conference, which was held virtually from Jan. 20-23, the students represented the nations of Hungary and Syria.
Members of the delegation included Elissa Acheampong, Precious Ademokun, Jayson Bhoorasingh, Madison Gayle, Joseley Jean, Imani Lyons, Yalisah Lozada, Analay McLean, Varda Qudratullah, Maya Reyes, and Kassie Rosier.
Under the leadership of EMHS President Britney Bennett, their mentors Orobo Ogbovoh, Kelenna Onyeobia, Madison Omega and Preston Pressoir and Faculty Advisor Nkenge W. Gilliam, the delegation secured five committee awards including two Outstanding Delegate Awards. Congrats to the Elmont Delegation for maintaining the Elmont MUN legacy established in 1978.
