December Model Citizens Holding Certificates

The following model citizens were nominated by the Physical Education/FCS Department for the month of December. They are recognized for their outstanding efforts in the area of goal setting. 

Carrington Barrett, a seventh grade student, works hard to meet her goals for this year. She is working on making high honor roll, staying focused in school and playing on the eighth grade junior high basketball team.
 
Loubna Bensmail, a 12th grader, wants to become an anesthesiologist. Her short team goals are to get into medical school, travel around the world and buy a good car. 

Nneka Nnabuogor, a 12th grader, would like to become an architect. The short term goals she has set for herself are to pass the marking period and get accepted to Northeastern University.

Monique Mundy, a 12th grader, wants to attend New York University. She plans  to study business and marketing. Monique would like to develop her own clothing line and is interested in modeling. She has her own YouTube show which helps people with styling hair and different ways to put on make-up.   

Namanpreet Kaur, a student in FACS 8 class, is focused on academics. She would like to achieve at least a 90 average in all of her subjects. She would also like to achieve that in all of her Regents exams, as well. Namanpreet also discussed her hopes of taking electives such as Photography and Career and Finance Management. She is very interested in Economics and would like to pursue photography as a hobby. 

Carlos Garcia Vasquez is not exactly sure of his career goals just yet. Being a teacher or a psychologist are a couple of his possible career paths. One thing is clear, regardless of the exact career path, Carlos wants to help people. He demonstrates his desire to help others in class as he is quick to assist others with their class work. Carlos is upbeat, caring and always ready to lend a hand.

Grace Gavlo is currently working on her short-term goal of achieving mastery on her midterm and quarterly grades. Grace is quick to participate in class and eager to understand class material. She works hard to ensure that she maintains her perfect average in Family and Consumer Science 7.  She always turns assignments in on time and her work is well done. It is apparent that she not only takes pride in her work, but that she is actively pursuing her goal of achieving mastery. 

Kassie Rosier is a hard-working eighth grade student. Her teacher says that Kassie is the best goal setter ever. Kassie always works to her fullest potential. Whenever she is finished with work or a lab, she is helping others to achieve their goals. She is a motivating force in class. She is a mature, selfless young lady who wants the best for herself and everyone around her.
