The theme for the model citizens was courage and Model Citizen by the Science Department are:
Briana Domingue is an example of someone who has courage. She is never afraid to speak up for other students or for herself when she feels there may have been an injustice done to them. She has learned to feel empowered while remaining respectful to those whom she is challenging.
Jewzel Vassell is always looking out for her fellow students and teachers. She has let her teacher know on several occasions when a student in class is having a bad day or unresolved feelings from a conflict in another class. Jewzel sets a great example of looking out for her peers.
The following students are nominated for displaying the courage to continue to work hard despite facing obstacles and setbacks in and outside of the classroom:
