Floral Park Memorial High School’s Virtual Enterprise firm, YUMMERS ™, participated in an in-school trade show where they showcased their innovative app that supports local restaurants while providing users with a customized dining experience.
VE is a business class where students work together to create a virtual business. Through hands-on experience, students can gain valuable insight into the business world, including marketing, sales, customer service and financial management.
YUMMERS™ is an app that allows users to answer a 25-question survey, which then matches them with local restaurants based on their dietary preferences and tastes. The app provides users with a unique dining experience, as well as helps to support local restaurants by promoting them to potential customers.
At the trade show, the YUMMERS™ team impressed potential customers with their app design and user-friendly interface. They made over $1 million in profit.
