On Nov. 14, the art and literary magazine club, Trumpet, hosted an after-school poetry café with Nassau County Poet Laureate Paula Curci. It was a full house, with students enjoying poetry games, art sketches, an open mic session and a presentation by Ms. Curci. There was so much creativity and artful expression, and poetry fun was had by all. Trumpet Club adviser Ms. Poulos is grateful to Ms. Curci, who is a retired guidance counselor from Sewanhaka High School, for such a wonderfully inspirational afternoon for our students.
