Each day had a specific theme: My Country Monday, Tourist Tuesday, World Cup Wednesday, Traditional Thursday and Future Friday. Students and staff were encourage to participate in each themed day by dressing up.
Among the many activities, students created posters and language links that adorned the hallways. They participated in the daily March Madness song bracket, casting votes for their favorite foreign songs in Spanish, French and Italian —languages offered at FPM. Students also participated in poetry, dance, vocal and instrumental performances, which were conducted in the World Language classrooms. A world map took center stage in the World Language Hallway, with students, faculty and staff marking their origins using push pins adorned with their country's flag. One of the most anticipated events was the International Food Day, where students brought dishes representing their cultural backgrounds to share with their classmates.
Faculty and staff contributed to the festivities by completing International Profiles, sharing the languages they spoke, places they've traveled to, and dream destinations.
Additionally, daily announcements were read in different languages such as Spanish, Haitian-Creole, Japanese, Hindi and Gujarati, and American Sign Language.
