On May 4, the Nassau County Museum of Fine Arts hosted an awards ceremony for 32 exceptional Nassau County public high school student-artists at the MANES Art & Education Center.
Representing Floral Park’s art department are three extraordinary artists: Madelyn DeRose from Ms. Glasser’s Illustration & Design class, Sophia Marquez from Mr. Kutner’s Drawing and Painting class and Fiona So from Ms. Santana’s Advanced Placement 2-Dimensional Art & Design class. Each student was awarded a scholarship prize for their artistic talents. Their exceptional pieces of art will be on view from May 5-25 at the MANES Center, located on the grounds of the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn.
