Virtual Enterprise Conference and Guest Speaker

Last week, our Virtual Enterprise (VE) students had the incredible opportunity to attend the annual Leadership Conference at Long Island University. While networking with other local firms, the students worked collaboratively to brainstorm business solutions for a challenging case study. A special highlight was Megan McVeigh, our VE firm's chief marketing officer, who advanced to the final rounds and delivered her pitch on stage. The students not only showcased their skills, but also made meaningful connections during this inspiring event.

Additionally, the business department welcomed Shawn Sam, a Sewanhaka district alum and senior manager for business strategy at the NBA. Shawn shared his journey from high school to a successful career in business, blending his passion for entrepreneurship and sports. He took time to observe the VE students in action, praising the program's emphasis on real-world business skills. Students left inspired after an engaging Q&A session with Shawn, gaining valuable insights into careers in business and sports strategy.
