After a year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Floral Park Memorial High School Knights were able to celebrate their homecoming this year on Sept. 25.
The event kicked off with a parade throughout the neighborhood, which featured the school’s faculty, marching band, cheerleaders, Florettes, clubs and homecoming court. Congratulations to homecoming royalty Kate Edwards and Julia Mills, and the entire homecoming court.
The game’s opening performances were done by the Floral Park Titanettes, the junior high cheerleaders, the junior varsity cheerleaders and the varsity cheerleaders.
The football field buzzed with excitement as the Knights took on the Roosevelt High School Rough Riders. Being cheered on by the spirited crowd decked in red, the Knights won the game with a score of 35-8.
Visitors also enjoyed halftime performances from the varsity cheerleaders, Florettes and marching band.
