Christopher Rasquin and Nabehah Azhe were each selected to receive the $1,000 Jon H. Poteat Scholarship from the National Technical Honor Society, a program designed to honor the most exemplary students in Career and Technical Education programs across the United States. Rasquin is a pre-engineering student from Floral Park Memorial High School, and Azhe is a culinary arts student from Sewanhaka High School.
Both students are being recognized for exemplifying the seven attributes of the National Technical Honor Society: skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship and leadership.
Rasquin and Azhe are among the 250 National Technical Honor Society members to receive the scholarship this year.
