On Thursday, March 14th, 2024 the Sewanhaka District Art Department hosted a student artist reception at the Central Administration Building to honor twenty-five talented artists from the district. Each Art teacher from the district chooses one piece of artwork from their finest student to be displayed. Administrators, teachers, and family members celebrated the artistic talents of our wonderful students. Liliana Leyton Lenes, grade 11 from Mr. Lundergan’s Digital Design II class, Ella Thompson, grade 9 from Ms. Avanzi’s Studio Art class, Yohana Ventura Alvarenga grade 11 from Mrs. Filippone’s Photographic arts class, Marissa Ramirez grade 10 from Mrs. Kerschman’s Drawing & Painting class and, Mumtahina Mohini grade 9 from Mr. Hendrick’s Studio Art class, Victoria Campbell, grade 12 from Mrs. Levine’s Contempoary Art Making class proudly represented Sewanhaka High School’s Art Department. Their stunning artwork will be on display in the Central Administration Offices for the entire year.
