The Art League of Long Island’s 17th annual “Go APE” Advanced Placement Student Exhibition featured 2D and 3D works by 141 AP and IB art students from 40 high schools across Long Island.
High school art teachers selected artworks from among their talented students for exhibition in the spacious Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery. This is an opportunity for what may be the first of many times these promising young art students will show their artwork in a professional gallery setting. This year, students senior Neha Chowdhury, senior Karitika Kumari and junior Isaiah Palmer had their artwork on display. They’re all from Mrs. Filippone’s Advanced Placement 2D Design Art class. Winners in various categories were chosen by a prominent art educator and received their own Go APE certificate.
