More than 20 Key Club members started spring break by beautifying our neighborhood. On April 14, the students walked from Sewanhaka to Hempstead Turnpike and back to the school. For over two hours, they picked up litter along the way and filled over 10 garbage bags! The students had lots of fun and the community members were very appreciative of our efforts.
On April 16, 11 Key Club members continued the cleanup effort by spending the afternoon beautifying the front lawn of Sewanhaka and the field closest to our softball field. The crew raked the lawn and bagged up tons of the brown, circular seed pods from the trees.
Thank you to the Key Club for these amazing cleanup efforts!
