Dear Class of 2027:
It is a pleasure to welcome the newest members of the Sewanhaka Family – The Class of 2027. This is an exciting beginning to our 6-year journey together in “The” historic Sewanhaka High School. The road to your graduation in June of 2027 begins with our at 7th Grade Orientation program on August 30, 2021 8:00am.
You are about to become a part of history! Sewanhaka High School is a historic building with a tradition of academic excellence, top-notch athletics and an amazing array of extra-curricular activities. The staff and faculty of Sewanhaka look forward to meeting you at 8:00am in the auditorium on August 30.
I was so pleased to meet with some of you during the Summer Enrichment Program. Many of you got a small taste of school by learning about our building, meeting some of our teachers and more importantly spending time with your fellow classmates. On August 30, we will provide a larger opportunity to meet faculty, take ID photos, find lockers, review class schedules, receive your iPad (if you did not attend Summer Enrichment) and interact with the entire 7th grade. Parents, this is also an orientation for you! We will give you an overview of our building, academic program and most importantly - welcome you as part of our Sewanhaka family.
Class of 2027 members who attended our Summer Enrichment Camp must bring their iPad to orientation. There will be work done with the devices during orientation, so it’s imperative that you bring those along with you. During orientation you will also receive your hallway locker assignment and purchase a gym lock for $5.00. It is mandatory that all students purchase a lock for physical education.
