On March 25, College Accounting students listened to virtual guest speaker Drew Neidig, who is a pastor at Calvary Lutheran Church in Laureldale, Pa. Prior to becoming a pastor, Neidig worked in the financial and accounting field for 30 years on Long Island.
Neidig explained how his accounting background was the key to uncovering a fraud being committed at his church. He explained that he never imagined he’d be involved in something like this, but when the leadership of the church raised concerns, Neidig stepped in to investigate.
The students were grateful that Neidig took the time to speak to them about his interesting career journey.
