Sewanhaka High School students Ashna Balroop, Win Hla, Catherine Krisenlall, Lucila Mathieu, Emiley Muthusamy and Feba Saji attended the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) 2022 State Conference in Callicoon, NY from March 23-25.
Throughout the conference, attendees heard from keynote speakers and participated in leadership workshops. Students competed in STAR Event competitions that tested their knowledge in career exploration, consumer responsibilities, technology, health and safety, and more.
Balroop, Hla and Krisenlall were awarded gold; Mathieu and Saji received silver; and Muthusamy earned bronze. Balroop, Hla, Krisenlall and Saji have also qualified for nationals, which are scheduled to take place from June 29-July 3 in San Diego, CA.
