Students smile while working outside

Ms. Sherwood and her Earth Science students participated in many activities in honor of Earth Day. They decorated the science hall showcase with an Earth Day theme and prepared soil with marigold seeds to be planted in a few weeks. Ms. Sherwood’s periods 1, 4, 6 and 8 classes also raked seed pods from Sewanhaka’s front lawn and landscaped the courtyard. Her students will be walking  the community on April 29 and May 6 after school to remove litter. These activities help inspire Sewanhaka students to help the community and  make a difference.
