Sewanhaka High School students have been celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. They are provided the opportunity to not only feel proud of their roots, but to share the richness and diversity of the various Latin American cultures with those who are not Hispanic. As part of the celebration, students from Mrs. Bascetta, Mrs. Madruga, and Mrs. Melendez’ Spanish classes participated in different projects: reading various Spanish-language books from the library, participating and observing folk dances, and researching Spanish-speaking countries or people.
