2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program Nominee

H. Frank Carey High School senior Meerab Chaudhry is among 25 New York State high school seniors nominated for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program by the State Education Department.

Meerab was recommended to be nominated for this honor by Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages due to her internship and program with her (Students Inside Albany 2024).

The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964 to recognize and honor some of the nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors. The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars selects students annually based on their academic success, artistic excellence, essays, school evaluations and transcripts, as well as evidence of community service, leadership and demonstrated commitment to high ideals.

In April, the Commission on Presidential Scholars reviews the applications of all semifinalists and selects up to 161 U.S Presidential Scholars.

Congratulations, Meerab!
