This past weekend, the New Hyde Park Memorial Model United Nations team competed at the William and Mary Model United Nations Conference. The conference brought together over 1,000 students from 14 different states and 43 schools. The delegates debated topics such as Global Energy Crisis, Space Security, and Utilizing Technology and Innovation to Combat Hunger. New Hyde Park represented the nations of Cameroon, Saudi Arabia and India, along with various other individuals. The following delegates received recognition for their success in their committees:

New Hyde Park also won the Outstanding Large Delegation Award, which is given to the school that exhibits a welcoming and productive environment by listening actively, thinking critically, and responding sensitively. It also highlights delegates' ability to engage in compromise while being diplomatic. This marks the fourth straight delegation award for New Hyde Park dating back to 2021!
