New Hyde Park Memorial High School seventh grader Justin (Pin-Hsu) Liu was selected as a winner in the “Create a Watershed Super Hero” poster contest, sponsored by the New York Water Environment Association and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
This year, hundreds of posters from students in 31 schools across New York State were submitted to the contest. Fourteen finalists were selected by online voting performed by NYSDEC’s Division of Water staff and NYWEA members. The winning posters will be featured online and in the upcoming 2025 NYWEA Calendar.
