students in front of board with Italy decorations

During Italian American Heritage Month in October, students in Ms. Mannino and Ms. Caliendo's Italian classes engaged in a variety of exciting activities to celebrate this rich cultural heritage. They started the month off by researching Italian Americans who made significant contributions to society. Throughout the month, students enjoyed playing a fun game of Bocce outdoors with their peers and exploring the flavors of Italian American cuisine. Students were able to watch how ricotta and cannoli are made, followed by a taste-testing activity where students were able to taste ricotta with honey and fill their own cannoli. Students also helped decorate the language hallway in green, white and red!
