On Feb. 25, eighth grader Andrea Ross Pineda performed at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. She and her accompanist performed “Czardas” by Vittorio Monti for violin. Andrea performed with a skill set, composure and sense of musicality far beyond her young age of 13. Andrea is a member of the New Hyde Park Memorial High School Orchestra program, the String Ensemble and will be participating in the NYSSMA festival this month. Andrea studies violin at the New York Musician’s Center, the organization that sponsored the Carnegie Hall performance.
