Attn.: Any student retaking the Earth Science exam; there is a required practical test on Monday 8/15 @ SEWANHAKA High School. Students in review classes will take the test at their normally scheduled class time. Students NOT enrolled in Regents review classes will take their practical exam at 11:30.

Music Under the Stars: Concert Series
The district’s Music Department proudly presents its “Music Under the Stars” summer concert series. Choir, jazz band and orchestra will be performing, featuring students from throughout the district. Concerts will take place on July 12, 19 and 26 at 6 p.m., in the parking lot area near the rear entrance to Sewanhaka High School. They are free of charge. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, some snacks, and sit back and enjoy the music!
If the weather is inclement, performances will take place in the Sewanhaka High School cafeteria!

Dear Sewanhaka CHSD Families,
The New York State Education Department has cancelled the June 1, 2022 administration of the United States History and Government Examination. At the June 2022 Board of Regents meeting, NYSED will ask the Board of Regents to approve a graduation exemption for students who were scheduled to take the examination. When approved, all students who were scheduled to take this examination will be exempt from taking it now and in the future, and it will not negatively impact the student’s ability to graduate.
As a result of this cancellation, June 1st will be a regular day of instruction for all our students.

On Wednesday, June 1 the Sewanhaka Central High School District will administer the US History and Government Regents. Students taking the Regents will report to school at the regular time. Non-test takers will have a delayed opening. Buses will be provided for both groups of students. See the attached letter and schedule for more information.
Marking Period 3 report cards will be available in both the Infinite Campus Student and Parent apps at 3pm on Friday, April 8. Please note that all report cards will now be found in those apps by clicking on "More" on the left side of the screen, and then “Backpack." Open the folder that says "Report Cards," and click on the report card you wish to view. The NHP SPEC (Students Putting an End to Cancer) Club has organized a charity drive, from February 7th to 11th, for the Ronald McDonald House, wherein students will be able to bring in commonly needed items for donation to a box the main office. Please consider donating!
Please come out and see our Centre Stage Show, “Happily Ever After in New Hyde Park.” The show is this Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM in the New Hyde Park Memorial Auditorium and tickets are $10 at the door. It’s going to be an amazing show.
