Robert Andrews, 88, of Columbus North Carolina, passed away on June 26, 2023, Mr. Andrews graduated from Sewanhaka High School in 1952 and continued his education at Rutgers University, Hofstra University and New York University. He was a lifelong educator and returned in 1958 to Sewanhaka High School as a social studies teacher. He went on to become principal from 1971 until 1991 and was affectionately known as ‘Mr. Sewanhaka’. Bob’s passions included lacrosse. He was inducted into the Rutgers Olympic Sports Hall of Fame, the Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Hall of Fame, and the Sewanhaka High School Sports Hall of Fame.
