Fifty-three students were honored recently with induction into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), an educational non-profit organization honoring, recognizing and empowering students in Career and Technical Education. The NTHS honors the best in student achievement and leadership, offering the new Sewanhaka inductees access to exclusive scholarships, workforce development opportunities and thousands of like-minded alumni across the country.
Students were each presented with a certificate that notes their adherence to seven core values: skill, honesty, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, leadership and service.
Students that earned membership in the NTHS proved that they have displayed extraordinary character and achievement. Dr. Dunphy reminded students that, “Character is staying positive when you feel discouraged, it's knowing you can count on each other…character is collaboration, and collaboration is the cornerstone of the CTE experience.”
