Elmont Memorial High School Science Research students recently participated in the Billion Oyster Project’s annual symposium on Governor’s Island.
Kyra Hylton, Kahela Michel, and the team of N’Teko Eccles and Aneeta Joe were invited to attend and present their research. Kyra, a ninth grader, also earned the Exemplary Project Award for her work investigating the ability of seaweed biochar to remediate zinc-contaminated water.
